The Art of Mural Painting Camp

Dates: August 4-7, 2025

Time: 10 AM - 3 PM

Ages: 10-18

Cost: $175 Members / $200 Non-Members

Led by artist and muralist Annelise Vuono, this unique art camp offers young creatives the chance to participate in the design and execution of a large-scale mural for a public space.

Students will:

• Learn the fundamentals of mural design

• Collaborate on conceptualizing and painting a mural

• Develop teamwork skills while contributing to a lasting community project

All supplies are included. Students should dress for the mess and bring a packed lunch.

Community Mural Competition – Nonprofits, Apply Now!

The York Art Association invites nonprofits in York City to apply for the chance to receive a custom-designed mural designed by artist and muralist Annelise Vuono and painted by our talented student artists. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your organization's mission while adding a vibrant piece of art to your space.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, nonprofits must:

• Be a registered 501(c)(3) organization

• Have a designated outdoor space for mural installation

• Be located in York City, Pennsylvania

• Commit to maintaining the mural for at least 10 years

• Collaborate with YAA and Annelise Vuono on mural design and approval

Submission Requirements

Nonprofits must submit the following details:

• Organization details (name, EIN, location, contact person)

• Mission Statement (100-300 words)

• Mural Concept Proposal (max. 1,000 characters) - Describe the desired theme and how it aligns with your mission

• Community Engagement Plan (max. 1,000 characters) - Explain how this mural will engage your community

• Preferred mural location details with photos (optional but encouraged)

• Signed Commitment Agreement outlining collaboration, mural maintenance, and promotional permissions

Important Dates

• March 14, 2025: Application Submissions Open

• April 14, 2025: Submission Deadline

• April 21, 2025: Winning Nonprofit Notified

• August 4-7, 2025: Mural Camp

• August 11-15, 2025: Mural Installation

• August 27-30, 2025: Mural Unveiling Event
