Our Next EXHIBIT will feature 3 local abstract artists.

Updated: Feb 16, 2022

UPDATE!: An Opening Reception will be held on Sunday, February 27th from 2-4pm to celebrate our three artists. We hope you will join us!

Do you love art that emphasizes line, color, design, motion and emotion?

While all art involves these elements, there is nothing that rivals abstract work to invite viewers to insert their own personal interpretation into what an artist is saying in their art. This interaction between the artist and the viewer draws many art enthusiasts to this genre. York Art Association is honored to announce our next live exhibition opening February 27 featuring the works of 3 professional local abstract artists, Julie Yontz Rupp, Eva Gorski and Thom Kulp. Their abstract works are sure to light up our gallery with warmth, color and energy during the sometimes-cold, dreary late winter days.

Eva Gorski is currently lives in Stewartstown and grew up in Krakow, Poland where she obtained a master’s degree in architecture. She has won many awards in local exhibitions including York Art Association’s prestigious Rottler award in 2000. Visit her website at www.evagorski.net.

Thom Kulp lives in Harrisburg where he teaches classes in abstract mixed media. He too has won many awards in exhibitions. Check out his Facebook page Thom Kulp Art.

Julie Yontz-Rupp is a resident of Hanover, PA. She teaches classes in abstract mixed media for York Art Association. She is winner of multiple awards in York Art Association exhibitions and is represented in several galleries in the region. Her Facebook page is Julie Yontz Rupp.

Our Sally Little Danyo Members' Sales gallery will feature the lovely landscape works of Sally E Smith. Sally is second place winner of our 2021 fall member’s exhibit in the professional category. She is a York Co. native, began formal art studies in high school and received her BS in Education and MD State Certification in Art Education from Towson University. She continued her studies with various artists including life drawing at the Maryland Institute, workshops with David Leffel, Sherrie McGraw, Alvaro Castagnet, Bob Rohm, and Peter Fiore, as well as numerous classes at the York Art Association.

YAA is truly blessed to host such a collection of notable, talented, professional artists. Visit the gallery during between February 27 through April 3 to experience this exhibition in person. Our gallery hours are Monday through Friday 10 am to 3 pm and Sundays 2 pm to 4 pm. This exhibit is free to the public.
