Nancy Fine

Nancy Fine is a lifetime resident of The North County of Baltimore. This area has been the inspiration for many of her en plein air paintings. Her preferred medium is oil, though she continues to experiment with new mediums in her expression of art.

Nancy competes in many juried and non-juried shows, mainly on the East Coast. Nancy’s interest in en plein air painting has evolved over the last 10 years. Plein air has provided the perfect vehicle for expressing her love of the outdoors and awareness of nature. The success of Nancy’s work is not only the interpretation of the ever-changing natural surroundings, but her use of lush colors, the freedom of her palette knife, and use of the right brush.

How fortunate to have 24,000 aces of The Pretty Boy WaterShed in her backyard. It is the place to disappear for hours - just the artist, her easel, backpack, and her companion Luna, her mixed breed dog who rescued her.

Whether it’s a beaver pond, a strand of trees, or a rushing stream, it is that connection. Many times locals and passersby find her in the woods and want to purchase the paintings there. She considers the woods her office.

Nancy received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Notre Dame College. She continues to study and to take numerous classes and workshops throughout the world.
