At our volunteer brunch on March 2, 2025, we surprised five incredible individuals who dedicate their time, talent, and hard work to York Art Association.
Ray, Kathy, Carol, Anita, and Chris each brought something unique to our organization this year—whether it was ensuring our exhibitions shined, leading with warmth and enthusiasm, shaping our education programs, or offering unwavering support behind the scenes. Their efforts helped transform our galleries, inspire artists, and strengthen our community. We celebrated them with gratitude and appreciation, along with the rest of YAA's amazing volunteers.
Below are pictures of each recognized individual alongside the statements Executive Director Roth J. Preap shared before awarding them with a certificate of appreciation.
Ray Edmison
Recognized for his service supporting Hospitality, Hanging, and Gallery committees

Roth's Notes:
"You can always count on this person to be wherever they’re needed—whether behind the desk, keeping watch over the building on a Sunday, up on a ladder adjusting the lights, or carefully hanging artwork for our exhibitions. And if that weren’t enough, they also happen to be an incredible baker—I can still taste those unforgettable lavender and chocolate cookies!
Today, we celebrate Ray for their dedication, versatility, and many contributions. Congratulations, Ray."
